History of the Knudsen Law Firm

The Knudsen Law Firm enjoys a heritage dating back to 1881, when Jesse B. Strode opened a Lincoln law practice.  Nebraska had been a state for only 14 years.

In 1928, the law firm moved to the newly-constructed Stuart Building in downtown Lincoln. A rapidly expanding client base included local businesses, railroads, banks and insurance companies.

In 1971, the firm merged with another respected Lincoln law firm, Chambers, Holland, Dudgeon and Beam.  In 1976, the Knudsen Law Firm became one of the first tenants in the new NBC Center at 13th and O Streets and was located there for over 30 years.  In 2007, the firm decided to be one of the first prominent Lincoln law firms to move out of downtown to provide a more convenient location to their clients.  The new location is at 3800 VerMaas Place, Suite 200, (10th & Pioneers) Lincoln, Nebraska 68502 (

The law firm that has now become Knudsen, Berkheimer, Richardson & Endacott, LLP operates in the same community as our founder, but in an entirely different world.  Advances in technology have dramatically changed the way we do business.  What remains unchanged is our commitment to client satisfaction and community service.
