Katherine S. Vogel

Katherine S. Vogel is
originally from Gretna, Nebraska. In 2001, Katherine received a
Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln. During her undergraduate studies, she taught
biology labs and during her senior year, was the Biology 101 lab
manager. She is a graduate of the University’s honors program.
Her honor’s thesis focused on assisting disabled students in a
biology lab. Katherine attended the University of Nebraska College of Law. She was a member of law review. Her law review case note on the Indian Child Welfare Act was published in the Nebraska Law Review and received a 2008 Burton Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. Katherine received two CALI Excellence for the Future awards for earning the highest grade in her criminal procedure class and her environmental and natural resources seminar. Her seminar paper focused on Nebraska’s water issues in the Republican River Basin and legislative attempts to address those issues. In 2008, Katherine graduated from law school with high distinction and is a member of the Order of the Coif national legal honorary. After law school, Katherine clerked for Justice William Connolly on the Nebraska Supreme Court. In March 2010, she joined Knudsen law firm where she focuses on water law and general litigation, striving to deliver quality legal work that meets her client’s needs. In her free time, Katherine enjoys reading, biking on Lincoln’s numerous trails, and travelling with her husband. |
